Whit, a Vietnam War combat helicopter pilot decorated with 42 Air Medals and two Bronze Stars, waited 22 years to hear a heartfelt “thank you” for his service. When asked what he wished for through Vets Wish, his answer was simple yet profound: gather with his closest friends over a nice meal.
