Linda’s book came to life!

Linda’s book came to life!

Linda, a true crime enthusiast and former capital murder case juror, always dreamed of publishing a book about her experience. After surviving a life-threatening battle with heart disease, she shared this dream with Cindy, a compassionate VITAS volunteer. VITAS connected her with our My Wish team, and that dream is now becoming a reality.

Thanks to My Wish, her VITAS care team, and Gatekeeper Press, Linda’s book is coming to life! We’re celebrating with a special book launch and signing event on 6/22 from 10 am – 12 pm CT.

For $700 she will get a book launch party of a lifetime, complete with 70 copies of her book for loved ones and friends, delicious refreshments and cookies and a published author gift basket. Help us make this day unforgettable! 💛Donate today!

UPDATE:

Linda’s wish came true!

Over the weekend, we celebrated her book signing: 29 Hours – A True Story of Pedophilia and Murder at Bookish Boutique in Panama City.

In 1986, Linda was an alternate juror in what became known as “The Crime of the Century” in San Luis Obispo County. Years later, she felt called to write about it and even interviewed the killer on death row.

Her biggest wish? To see her story in print. Thanks to Covenant Care’s My Wish program, in partnership with VITAS Healthcare and Gatekeeper Press, Linda’s powerful true crime memoir is now a reality! 💜 The signing was filled with friends, family, and community support!

Thanks to all who donated and made this wish come true. You can learn more about our My Wish program at MyWish.org.
