Our My Wish team received a referral from Nonie’s Place to support a young girl grieving the loss of her 18-year-old sister, Bella. Before Bella’s passing, the family had hoped to pick apples and enjoy a beautiful, fall day together at an orchard in North Carolina but missed the harvest by a week.

To honor Bella’s memory, we fulfilled the family’s wish to return to Zirconia, North Carolina during peak apple season. We arranged a cozy cabin retreat and a special visit to Sky Top Orchard, where they created new memories surrounded by fall’s beauty. A wind chime inscribed with Bella’s name was placed in the orchard, allowing her spirit to forever be part of this cherished place.
